Safford is a town in Graham County, Arizona, U.S. The population density is 9,566 as per the 2010 Census. The City is Graham County’s county seat. Safford is the largest city of the Safford Micropolitan Statistical Area, covering all of Graham County.

Safford was established in southwestern Arizona by Joshua Eaton Bailey, Hiram Kennedy, and Edward Tuttle who had come from Gila Bend. A freight rail line, the Arizona Eastern Railway, serves the city and operates Safford Regional Airport, an air station. The Transportation Department of Arizona is also developing the U.S. Route 191 from Interstate 10 to a four-lane highway complete.
